This is a reference piece to the Nuyorican / Afro Caribbean movement in New York City during the 70's and '80s. Artists would use logos like this on print to make flyers and post their messages all over the city. People would read these flyers and meet up at the park to share food, art, and music. This was considered the Latin explosion! This is our way of remembering this movement.
